Job summary

National Health Care Associates is seeking a Maintenance Worker to support the daily upkeep of our Wethersfield facility. You will perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks to keep equipment and spaces safe and functional for residents and staff.

You’ll also help with grounds maintenance, inspections of elevators and fire safety systems, manage inventories, and collaborate with nursing, housekeeping, and administration to address maintenance requests and ensure regulatory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in maintenance preferred.
• Experience in building maintenance or facilities management, healthcare setting preferred.
• Basic knowledge of maintenance principles and tools for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and work independently with attention to detail.
• Commitment to safety, regulatory compliance and ethical conduct.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine maintenance tasks across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
• Maintain facility grounds and outdoor maintenance for safety and appearance.
• Inspect equipment like elevators and fire safety systems for compliance.
• Maintain inventory of tools and supplies and reorder as needed.
• Coordinate with nursing, housekeeping, and administration on issues.
