Job summary

Johns Island Post Acute is seeking a dedicated housekeeper to join our maintenance team at the Johns Island SC facility. The role focuses on cleaning public areas, resident rooms, and common spaces with a strong emphasis on safety, hygiene, and patient-facing interactions.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, and experience in a Long-Term Care or healthcare setting is beneficial but not required. We offer competitive pay and benefits including 401k matching.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a Long-Term Care or healthcare setting would be beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all public and common areas throughout the day including lobby, restrooms, drinking fountains and floors.
• Maintain the cleanliness of resident rooms and bathrooms.
• Maintain handrails to ensure they are clean and free of debris.
• Clean and remove dust, dirt or food off walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, towel dispensers.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Utilize proper safety measures when cleaning, including the use of caution signage and keeping supplies and chemicals out of reach of the residents.
• Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment and storage areas in a safe, sanitary, clean and orderly manner.
• Excellent customer skills and positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently or with a team.
• Ability to pass a drug screen & federal background check
