Job summary

Johns Island Post Acute is a gorgeous 132-bed skilled nursing and rehab facility on Johns Island, SC, offering a supportive work environment. We are seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Assistant to keep our facility safe, welcoming, and running smoothly for residents and staff.

You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot systems, assist with renovations, and help maintain grounds and equipment. We value teamwork, dependability, and a heart for serving seniors.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a 10th grade education.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the facility
• Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance issues
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks
• Assist with room renovations and equipment repairs
• Help maintain the building and grounds
• Respond to maintenance requests with a positive attitude and excellent customer service
