Job summary

Johns Island Post Acute, a 132-bed skilled nursing and rehab facility near Charleston, seeks a Maintenance Assistant to perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot systems, and assist with renovations. You will help maintain grounds and building comfort while delivering friendly service to residents and families.

Qualifications

• General maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry.
• Ability to lift, bend, climb ladders, and work independently.
• Dependable, motivated, and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the facility.
• Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance issues.
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks.
• Assist with room renovations and equipment repairs.
• Help maintain the building and grounds.
• Respond to maintenance requests with a positive attitude and excellent customer service.
