Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will follow planned menus, ensure quality, taste, and presentation, and maintain a clean kitchen.

We value safety and teamwork; you will comply with food-safety guidelines, assist with inventory, and provide friendly service to residents and staff as part of a dedicated kitchen team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cook or food prep experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Communicate effectively with occupants, administration and leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Lift/carry up to 50 pounds; stand and walk for extended periods.
• May need to complete sanitation and safety course.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines and keep the kitchen clean.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent service.
• All other duties as assigned.
