Qualifications

• Associate degree required or 2 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Virginia MLTSS (UAI) Certification required upon completion of orientation and must be maintained throughout employment.
• Advanced computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database software.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedules referrals and ensures timely coordination of patient visits, testing, procedures, and surgeries.
• Maintains working knowledge of clinical information systems for scheduling, registration, and reporting.
• Ensures accurate entry of insurance, demographic, and eligibility information.
• Verifies referral and authorization requirements and completes processes within required timeframes.
• Provides high levels of customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and clinicians.
• Supports team needs including data entry, medical record management, and report completion.
• Participates in referral-related training and meetings.
