Job summary

USC Care Medical Group seeks a Referral Services Specialist to coordinate care across multiple sites and manage patient referrals. You will collaborate with Keck Referral Center staff to assess needs, develop interdisciplinary plans, and ensure timely admission and entry processes for patients entering USC Care Ambulatory Services.

You will transcribe referrals, gather medical records, and track data while coordinating with physicians, financial counselors, and clinical teams to support

Qualifications

• Req High school or equivalent.
• Req 3 years Healthcare experience. If no experience, bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, health administrative, or related field can be substitute for experience.
• Req Organization/time management skills.
• Req Demonstrate excellent customer service behavior.
• Req Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Req Ability to use computer systems or specified equipment that is essential for the related areas.

Responsibilities

• On a daily basis, reviews all incoming referrals to initiate and maintain positive working relationship with patients and referring physicians.
• Transcribes all incoming referrals into Ambulatory Referral Management
• Determine desired means and frequency of communication with patients, i.e., emails, mailed communications , phone calls.
• Daily review of referrals worklist within Ambulatory Referral Management
• Adheres to USC policies, procedures, and standards.
• Attends mandatory departmental staff meetings.
• Provide literature as requested and follow-up regarding literature provided.
• Provides pertinent feedback from patients and physicians to Marketing Department.
• Provides clinical information regarding Protocol as requester.
• Collaborates with USC Care clinical staff regarding new patient consultation.
