University of Southern California (USC) Care Ambulatory Services is seeking a Referral Services Specialist to support care coordination and the admission process for new patients. You will collaborate with the Keck Referral Center interdisciplinary team to assess patient needs and develop care plans across service sites.

The role involves documenting referrals, coordinating with physicians, and assisting in data tracking for administrative and marketing purposes.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years healthcare experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in business administration, health administration, or related field may substitute for experience.
• Organizational/time management skills.
• Excellent customer service behavior.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to use computer systems or equipment essential for the role.

Aufgaben

• Review all incoming referrals daily to maintain positive relationships with patients and referring physicians.
• Transcribe referrals into Ambulatory Referral Management system.
• Determine preferred means and frequency of communication with patients (email, mail, phone).
• Perform daily review of referrals worklist within Ambulatory Referral Management.
• Adhere to USC policies and attend mandatory departmental meetings.
• Collaborate with Marketing, clinical staff, and financial counselors regarding referrals and consultations.
• Coordinate with Medical Records to ensure timely processing of consultations.
