Job summary

The University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) in Springfield, IL is seeking a Social Work Aide to assist care coordinators in DSCC programs. You will help coordinate referrals, process records and communications, review eligibility, and support families with benefits and services.

This hybrid, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM role includes community outreach, translation support as needed, and collaboration with regional managers. Benefits include health/dental/vision, retirement, paid time off, and tuition waivers.

Qualifications

• Two years of work experience comparable to a Social Work Aide II.
• Any combination totaling two years from public/customer service work or college coursework in social/behavioral sciences.
• Conversion table: 15 sem. hours = six months; 30 sem. hours = one year.

Responsibilities

• Assists Care Coordinators and families with care coordination activities.
• Updates records and transmits information; handles forms and letters.
• Gathers information for DSCC Core financial eligibility.
• Assists with health insurance benefits management for applicants/recipients.
• Supports outreach events and translation services as needed.
• Responds to inquiries from applicants, recipients, and the public.
• Participates in meetings and trainings; undertakes additional duties as assigned.
