Job summary

Bedford Care Center of Petal is seeking a full-time cook to prepare meals in compliance with diet orders, menu specifications and safety standards under the supervision of the Dietary Supervisor and Manager.

The role includes receiving grocery orders, maintaining inventory, and ensuring high-quality food service while maintaining courteous communication with Residents, Employees and other staff in a supervised healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in large-scale cooking is preferred.
• Must read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
• Must pass drug screens and have a satisfactory Criminal History Background Check

Responsibilities

• Ensures daily meal preparation aligns with diet orders and menus.
• Receives groceries, checks and stores supplies, maintains inventory.
• Maintains sanitary kitchen practices and reports safety hazards.
• Communicates courteously with Residents, Employees and visitors.
