Job summary

Bedford Care Centers is seeking a Kitchen Supervisor to oversee meal preparation and Dietary Services ensuring compliance with residents’ diet orders, menu specs, and company policies under the Dietary Manager's supervision.

The role requires maintaining high quality in food preparation and service, accurate inventory, and courteous communication with staff, residents, and others; candidates should ensure personal hygiene and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in large kitchen/food service settings.
• Ability to read and write to complete job duties.
• Must pass drug screens and have satisfactory background checks.

Responsibilities

• Promptly reports any suspected Resident abuse to Administrator.
• Maintains confidentiality of Residents’ and Employees’ PHI as required by HIPAA/HITECH.
• Immediately reports to Nurse any unattended Resident leaving facility and assists as needed.
• Complies with Residents’ rights; knocks before entering Residents’ rooms.
• Reports to Dietary Manager all complaints from outside Dietary Department that cannot be resolved.
