Job summary

Genesis PrimeCare is seeking a Referral Specialist to coordinate patient referrals, authorizations, and pre-certifications, ensuring timely access to care. The role verifies insurance eligibility and benefits, communicates with patients and providers, and maintains accurate referral records to support smooth clinical workflows.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma (or GED) and may bring 1 year of clinic experience; LPN or CMA credentials and Spanish language skills are a plus in our

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: 1 year of practice in a clinical office.
• Preferred: Licensed Vocational Nurse or Certified Medical Assistant.
• Preferred: Spanish speaking and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate patient referrals and specialty services.
• Process authorizations and pre-certifications.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
• Coordinate with patients, providers, insurance companies, hospitals, and referral partners.
• Maintain referral documentation and communicate referral and appointment information.
