Job summary

CHI Health Clinic is seeking a Referral Specialist to optimize patient access by coordinating between clinical departments, providers, and patients. You will manage referrals in the EMR, validate pre-authorizations, and ensure documentation is accurately routed across the network.

You will collaborate with revenue cycle and clinical staff, track performance metrics, and maintain HIPAA regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school graduate with at least 1 year healthcare scheduling/EMR experience.
• Proficiency in Google Suite or Microsoft Office.
• Foundational knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage referral work queues in the EMR and validate pre-authorizations.
• Coordinate with patients and representatives to gather demographics and appointment preferences.
