Job summary

UF Health Central Florida is seeking a Cardiovascular Technician for the Cath Lab. The role monitors diagnostic and interventional catheterization procedures, ensures patient safety, and functions as a scrub assistant under supervision.

Required are an associate degree in CVT/RT, RCIS or RCES certification within 12 months, and BLS/ACLS. Florida licensure is preferred. Strong English communication and teamwork are essential for this on-site position.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in CVT, RT, or RT therapy required or five years of related experience.
• RCIS or RCES certification required within 12 months of hire.
• Florida ARRT license or Florida RRT license preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Read, write and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Monitor diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization procedures.
• Ensure safe patient care throughout cath lab activities.
• Serve as a scrub assistant under the direction of the supervisor.
• Collaborate with the cath lab team to support procedures.

Qualifications

Education: - Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy - In Lieu of education requirements, a minimum of five (5) years� experience and: - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire) OR - Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire) Licensure/Certification/Registration: - FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred) OR - FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred) - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification OR Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields) - BLS - ACLS Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required: - Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
