Job summary

UF Health seeks a Cardiovascular Technologist to support cath lab procedures, serving as a scrub assistant and ensuring safe patient care under the director’s supervision. Requires specialized education or equivalent experience with RCIS or RCES certification within 12 months of hire.

The candidate must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English, and hold projected licensure/certification in the applicable field with ARRT credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have RCIS or RCES certification within 12 months of hire if no degree in applicable fields.
• Education alternatives include an Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy.
• Read, write, speak and understand English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Monitor diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization procedures.
• Work as a scrub assistant and ensure safe patient care under supervision.
• Perform duties under the direction of the director/charge person.

Overview

The Cath Lab CVT, under the direction the of the director/charge person, monitors procedures, including all diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization studies, ensures safe patient care, and works as a scrub assistant.

Qualifications

Education: - Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy.

- In Lieu of education requirements, a minimum of five (5) years's experience AND Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)

OR

Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred)


• OR - FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred) -


• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification OR Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields)
