Job summary

Prometheus Federal Services (PFS) seeks a Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) to join the clinical team on-site at the San Diego VA Healthcare System in San Diego, CA. The CVT will function as an assistant to the Cardiologist, perform diagnostic tests, operate fluoroscopy equipment, and monitor patient status during procedures.

The role requires accredited CVT/CRT training, active RCIS/CRT/ CVT certifications, and English fluency.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Technologist Program (CVT) or CRT program.
• Active RCIS/CVT/CRT certifications as listed.
• California licensing or equivalent Board certification for CRT.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first assistant to the Cardiologist during cardiovascular procedures.
• Perform diagnostic tests and sample collection for analysis.
• Operate radiologic fluoroscopy and related imaging equipment during procedures.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, administer defibrillation if needed, and manage patient monitoring.
• Prepare procedure suite, sterile supplies, and medical devices for catheterization.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and review test results with physicians.
