Job summary

Prometheus Federal Services (PFS) is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) for an on-site position at the San Diego VA Healthcare System in San Diego, CA. The contract CVT assists the cardiology team with a broad range of diagnostic and interventional tasks and patient care in a high-acuity setting.

The role requires CVT/CRT RCIS credentials, BLS/ACLS, and English fluency, with duties including echocardiography support, lab checks, and procedural setup. Experience in cath labs is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited CVT or CRT program.
• Active RCIS/CVT/CRT certification as applicable.
• BLS & ACLS (AHA) cards.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Proven ability to speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Assist Cardiologist during cardiovascular procedures as first assistant.
• Perform diagnostic tests and blood collection for analysis and research.
• Operate radiologic fluoroscopy equipment and monitor cardiac rhythms.
• Prepare catheters, wires, balloons, stents; assist with sterile technique.
• Coordinate scheduling and review test results with physicians.
