Job summary

HCA Florida South Shore Hospital in Sun City Center, FL is seeking a Cardiovascular Technician to join our Cardiac Cath Lab team. You will assist physicians with complex cardiac procedures, prep patients, operate advanced lab equipment, and ensure a safe, compassionate environment during lifesaving interventions.

The role requires ACLS and BLS within 30 days, and credential options including Paramedic or RN or ARRT-R.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Credential options include Paramedic, RN, ARRT-R, RRT/RCP, NBRC-RRT or RCIS.
• Experience: 2 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with cardiac and vascular procedures (angiograms, angioplasties, stents).
• Prepare and support patients and families before, during, and after procedures.
• Operate and maintain advanced cath lab equipment.
• Monitor patient responses and ensure a sterile, safe environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements
• Preparing and supporting patients and families with care, education, and reassurance before, during, and after procedures
• Operating and maintaining advanced equipment to deliver safe and effective treatment
• Monitoring patient responses with vigilance and compassion to ensure the highest level of care
• Safeguarding a sterile, safe environment while serving as an advocate for every patient

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Paramedic, or (RN) Registered Nurse, or (ARRT‑R) Radiography, or (RRT/RCP‑State) Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner, or (NBRC‑RRT) Registered Respiratory Therapist, or (RCIS) Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist
• 2 years experience preferred
