HCA Florida North Florida Hospital in Gainesville seeks a Cardiovascular Tech II to join the Cardiac Cath Lab team. You will assist physicians during complex cardiac and vascular procedures, prepare patients, and operate advanced equipment to deliver safe, high‑quality care.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program, RCIS certification, BLS and ACLS, and related healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program or health science degree program (e.g., ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, nursing or paramedic) with current certification/registration.
• Current RCIS certification required.
• BLS & ACLS required.
• Related healthcare experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements.
• Prepare and support patients and families before, during, and after procedures with care and reassurance.
• Operate and maintain advanced cath lab equipment to deliver safe treatment.
• Monitor patient responses with vigilance and compassion to ensure high-quality care.
• Maintain a sterile, safe environment and advocate for every patient.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements
• Preparing and supporting patients and families with care, education, and reassurance before, during, and after procedures
• Operating and maintaining advanced equipment to deliver safe and effective treatment
• Monitoring patient responses with vigilance and compassion to ensure the highest level of care
• Safeguarding a sterile, safe environment while serving as an advocate for every patient

What qualifications you will need:

• A graduateof an accredited program in Cardiovascular Technologyrequired or agraduate of a degree granting program in a health science (includes, but not limited to, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, nursing or paramedic) with a current certification or registration required.
• A current certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)required
• BLS & ACLS required
• Related healthcare experiencerequired
