Job summary

UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital is seeking a Cath Lab CVT/ RN for a PRN day shift. The successful candidate will monitor procedures, ensure patient safety, and serve as a scrub assistant during diagnostic and interventional catheterizations in a busy Heart and Vascular unit.

Qualifications include an Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, RCIS/RCES certifications within 12 months of hire, ARRT preferred, and BLS/ACLS required.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy.
• Five years' experience if education requirements are not met.
• RCIS or RCES Certification required within 12 months of hire.
• ARRT Certification preferred.
• FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license OR FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license OR RCIS/RCES Certification within 12 months of hire.
• BLS and ACLS required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor procedures in the Cath Lab, ensuring safe patient care and outcomes.
• Scrub assistant during diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization studies.

Responsibilities

The Cath Lab CVT, under the direction the of the director/charge person, monitors procedures, including all diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization studies, ensures safe patient care, and works as a scrub assistant. This is a PRN Day Shift position.

Qualifications

Education

Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy

In Lieu of education requirements, a minimum of five (5) years’ experience and:

• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)
• ORRegistered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)

Licensure/Certification/Registration

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred)

If no ARRT, then one of the following licenses or certifications:

• -FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license
• OR-FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license
• OR-Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification
• OR-Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification-any of the four license/certifications above within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields
