Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) and Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• 1–3 years related surgical technologist experience preferred.
• Graduate of accredited surgical technologist education program or military/public health service training.
• Maintain CST credential and be recognized by national certifying bodies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare OR and sterile field, gather supplies and equipment.
• Pass instruments to surgeon and assist as needed.
• Maintain sterile technique and equipment safety throughout procedures.
• Assist with turnover and room readiness for subsequent cases.
• Monitor patient safety and confidentiality, uphold privacy.
