Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General, part of the Cleveland Clinic Health System, is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner) to join our Cardiovascular Surgery team. This 100% inpatient role focuses on acute/postoperative cardiovascular care in a fast-paced setting.

The APP will perform ICU rounds, inpatient consults, and collaborate with surgeons to manage critically ill patients, with credentialed advanced procedures as needed.

Qualifications

• APRN/PA/CNS trained provider licensed for practice.
• English proficiency required for clinical communication.
• Experience in ICU and post-operative cardiovascular care preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited APRN/PA program with current licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide ICU rounding, post-operative management, and inpatient consults for cardiovascular surgery patients.
• Perform advanced procedures as credentialed and privileged by hospital credentialing bodies.
• Collaborate with cardiovascular surgeons and care team to ensure high-acuity patient care.
• Participate in education and leadership within the clinical team.
