Job summary

Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) for inpatient cardiac surgery, working with licensed physicians to deliver comprehensive care during acute and chronic phases, including education, prevention, and referrals as needed.

Required are an APRN or PA-C license in Ohio and a relevant graduate degree (MSN or PA). 0 years of experience required; ICU or cardiac surgery exposure preferred. Shifts rotate 6am–6pm and 6pm–6am at Ross Heart Hospital.

Qualifications

• Licensed APRN or PA-C with national certification
• Ohio APRN license or PA-C licensure is required or eligible
• Graduate degree in nursing (MSN) or PA program
• 0 years of relevant experience required. Acute Care NP strongly preferred; 0-2 years ICU or cardiac surgery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient cardiac surgery care in collaboration with a licensed physician member of the medical staff.
• Coordinate with physicians and other clinicians for patient education, care planning, and referrals as appropriate.
