Job summary

Wayne Memorial Hospital and Barnes-Kasson Hospital are seeking a Director of Cardiovascular Services to provide strategic, operational, and financial leadership across their cardiology service lines, including outpatient, ambulatory, diagnostic, and procedural services.

The role coordinates with executive leadership and clinical teams to optimize scheduling, patient access, length of stay, and utilization, with a relentless focus on patient safety, quality, and financial stewardship.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or related field preferred.
• RN licensure and/or equivalent leadership experience may be considered in lieu of advanced degree.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in hospital operations or related healthcare management.
• Experience in cardiovascular service line operations preferred.
• Experience in strategic planning, operational management, physician relations, financial oversight, and team leadership.
• Strong communication, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to collaborate with executive leadership, physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing leadership, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Professional billing experience and/or education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic, operational, and financial leadership of cardiovascular service lines across Wayne Memorial Hospital and Barnes-Kasson Hospital.
• Coordinate with management for scheduling tests and procedures prioritizing patient need, length of stay, and utilization with patient safety as priority.
• Support long-term strategic plans to grow, improve access, enhance performance, and strengthen cardiovascular services.
• Collaborate with executive leadership, physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing leaders, and operational teams to align with organizational goals while focusing on quality, patient satisfaction, financial stewardship, and service excellence.
