Job summary

Freeman Health System seeks a Director of the Cardiovascular Service Line to provide strategic, operational, and financial leadership across inpatient and outpatient cardiology, cardiac surgery, and vascular programs. The role partners with physician leadership, nursing, and administration in a dyad model to drive clinical quality, patient experience, growth, and financial performance across all sites.

The position requires a Bachelor's in a related field with 5–10 years of healthcare operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or related field.
• Master's degree in MHA, MBA, or MSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the operating leader for the cardiology service line.
• Partner with physician leadership to set and execute service line strategy.
• Develop multi-year growth plans and lead clinical program development.
• Own and monitor annual operating and capital budgets; drive financial targets.
• Oversee daily operations of cardiovascular labs, imaging, clinics, and rehab programs.
• Lead quality, safety, and patient experience initiatives with clinical leaders.
• Drive physician engagement and alignment strategies.
• Manage staffing strategy and leadership development across departments/sites.
• Lead or support contracting strategy and value analysis for devices/implants.
• Represent service line in payer strategy discussions and managed care negotiations.
• Ensure regulatory compliance across cardiology sites.
