Job summary

AdventHealth Apopka seeks a registered nurse to join our team in Florida. This full-time role offers day shifts (7:00 am – 7:00 pm) with every other weekend and holiday requirements, and opportunities for clinical ladder advancement in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, medication administration, patient education, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes. RN licensure and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed RN and proficient in nursing care methods.
• Ability to work well within a unit and collaborate with team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with patients and staff.
• Fluency in English (read, verbal and written).
• Knowledge of EKG and basic life support requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments across physical and psychosocial domains.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and update them as needed.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions per orders.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and self-care.
• Maintain thorough documentation and ensure infection control and safety standards.
