Job summary

IntermountainHealth is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular OR RN to join the operating room team at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado.

The CVOR nurse delivers high-quality care in a fast-paced surgical setting, collaborating with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure safe patient outcomes. Required BSN, Colorado RN license (or compact), current BLS, and 1+ year Cardiothoracnursing experience.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited program.
• Current Colorado RN license or compact license with the ability to obtain Colorado RN license.
• Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain within sixty (60) days of hire (ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate for unit or service).
• At least one (1) year of Cardiothoracnursing experience in a comparable acute care/surgical services setting, highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recognize and address patients’ psychological and physical needs
• Foster continuity and quality of care with the best interest and well-being of patients and their families in mind
• Assess a patients’ medical status upon admission
• Assist in developing individualized treatment plans
• Comply with evaluation, treatment and documentation guidelines
