Job summary

The role requires a Certified Surgical Assistant or health-related degree with five years of first assisting experience, CSTFA National Certification, and AHA BCLS.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Assistant or college degree in health related field with five years of first assisting experience
• CSTFA National Certification, AHA BCLS
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, use of general patient care equipment, ability to adapt to changes in health care technology, demonstrates skilled assistance to the surgeon, credentialing through the medical staff

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled assistance to the surgeon.
• Assists with individual operating room set up
• Assists with positioning, prepping and draping the patient.
• Communicates with the surgeon and health care team regarding patient’s condition
• Other duties as assigned by management.
