Job summary

Palm Careers is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Surgical Physician Assistant / First Assistant for a Cardiac Surgery location in Western Tennessee. This role involves extensive operating room time as the primary first assistant in heart surgery, with opportunities for locum, permanent, or locum-to-perm arrangements.

The candidate must be proficient in Endoscopic Vein Harvesting and possess excellent first assisting skills in heart surgery. A Master’s degree in P.A.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in Cardiothoracic Surgery, first assisting in heart surgery cases.
• Proficient in Endoscopic Vein Harvesting and strong first assisting skills in heart surgery.

Responsibilities

• First assist in the operating room during cardiac procedures.
• Provide operative care in heart surgery and collaborate with the surgical team.
• Assist with post-operative care as needed.
