Job summary

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Assistant or college degree in health-related field with five years of first assisting experience.
• CSTFA National Certification, AHA BCLS.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to adapt to changes in health care technology; credentialing through the medical staff.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled assistance to the surgeon.
• Assists with individual operating room set up.
• Assists with positioning, prepping and draping the patient.
• Communicates with the surgeon and health care team regarding patient’s condition.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
