Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment through communication, relationships and teamwork.
• Ensures readiness of emergency equipment and supplies; recognizes emergencies and initiates appropriate codes.
• Maintains a safe environment, manages IV fluids, drugs and patient privacy; follows safety and radiation protocols.
• Maintains files and records; accurate data entry, charges, QA documentation and timely communication.
• Communicates effectively with team, patients and families; promotes patient satisfaction and coordination of care.
• Provides 24-hour emergency call coverage for the Cardiac Cath Lab; responds promptly to emergencies.
• Administers patient care under physician supervision; monitors physiologic stability and administers medications as required.
• Provides instruction and education to coworkers; participates in continuing education and training.
• Maintains competency for point-of-care testing and complies with policies and regulations.
• Ensures age-appropriate patient procedures and maintains awareness of age-specific care guidelines.
