Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a Cardiovascular Specialist to support the cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology labs. The role involves preparing medications, monitoring patients, scrubbing and circulating as needed, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Candidates should have nursing or allied health training, a cardiovascular interventional program or equivalent two years of CV experience, and current CPR/ACLS credentials.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or Allied Health Technology (i.e., Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, etc.).
• Graduate of Cardiovascular Interventional Program or minimum of two years of experience as a Cardiovascular Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Performs/assists in invasive or interventional cardiology procedures, including preparation and readiness of all radiographic and emergency equipment.
• Maintains safety, infection control, and radiation protection standards.
• Documents patient data accurately and ensures proper charges and QA monitoring.
• Provides education and consultation to teammates and trainees; participates in continuing education.
