Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in North Carolina seeks a Cardiovascular Specialist to support the Cardiac Cath Lab with skilled patient care, equipment readiness, and interventional procedures. The role requires ARRT or RN licensure, ACLS/BCLS, and Cardiovascular Interventional training or equivalent experience, with emphasis on safety, documentation, and teamwork.

You will collaborate with physicians and nurses, participate in on-call coverage, and ensure compliance with Universal Protocol

Qualifications

• CPR/ACLS as required licensure
• Strong communication and teamwork within high-stress environment
• Accurate documentation and patient data handling
• Experience or training in interventional cardiology and cath lab procedures

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital/policy procedures and promotes teamwork.
• Ensures readiness of emergency equipment and supplies for urgent cardiac cases.
• Maintains safe and therapeutic environment, including radiation safety and equipment checks.
• Maintains and documents patient data, charges, and QA information.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families and staff, and coordinates care.
• Provides 24-hour emergency call coverage for Cardiac Cath Lab and responds promptly.
• Administers patient care under physician supervision, including meds and interventions.
• Provides instruction and education to colleagues and trainees, supports ongoing CE activities.
• Maintains competency in point-of-care testing and policy compliance.
• Ensures age-appropriate patient care and adheres to age-specific guidelines.
