UAB Medicine is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider or Physician Assistant for our Cardiovascular Surgery Unit. The position requires 3–4 shifts per week (14–16 per month) from 6p-6a, covering inpatient CV surgical, interventional, and structural patients with no operative duties.

Ideal candidates hold Adult Acute Care NP or PA credentials, with BLS and ACLS/PALS as applicable, and must be able to perform comprehensive assessments, orders, and care coordination in a fast-paced setting.

Competenze

• Master's degree required for NP/PA role with Acute Care certification.
• Clinical knowledge to manage inpatient CV surgical and interventional patients.
• No operative responsibilities required; focus on assessment, orders, and care planning.

Mansioni

• Perform history and physicals, exams, and diagnoses for cardiac patients.
• Order and interpret tests; coordinate care plans and referrals.
• Maintain complete documentation and participate in quality improvement.
