Texas Health Resources is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for the Cardiovascular Services Clinic in Bedford, TX. This full-time role supports a fast-paced, multi-provider clinic with 40 hours weekly, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, including travel to Arlington and Alliance clinics with mileage reimbursement.

Responsibilities include patient setup, vital signs, EKGs, and coordinating testing and documentation.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required). CMA – current Medical Assistant Certification (required).
• 1 year Medical Assistant experience (preferred).
• ACLS and BCLS certifications preferred/required per hire.
• EPIC experience encouraged.
• Ability to perform EKGs and understand medical terminology.

Responsabilidades

• Delivers care to patients using the Certified Medical Assistant process.
• Performs general patient care by following established standards and procedures.
• Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider.
• Obtains and records vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, and relevant medical data.
• Performs routine tests such as EKG.
• Schedules patients for diagnostic testing and ensures completion.
• Documents patient plans, tests and results in the medical record as directed.
• Communicates test results and plan of care to patients.
• Keeps patient exam rooms stocked, clean and orderly.
• Escalates non-routine issues to the practice manager or provider.
• Ensures safety checks and privacy protections.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
