Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for the Heart & Vascular Specialists Clinic in Dallas. This full-time, days position includes travel to our Sunnyvale location once weekly, with mileage reimbursement.

You will welcome patients, take vitals, and support care teams in a fast-paced clinic. Requirements include a high school diploma and CMA certification, with preferred MA experience and THPG CT program completion within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• CMA - Current Medical Assistant Certification (required).
• Medical Assistant experience (strongly preferred).
• Successful completion of THPG Clinical Training (CT) program with demonstrated competency within 90 days (required).
• BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support (required) with quarterly renewal (as applicable).
• ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support (preferred) or by hire (preferred).
• Basic computer skills using medical management applications.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients using CMA process.
• Performs general patient care following established standards.
• Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider.
• Obtains and records vital signs and current medications.
• Communicates test results and care plan to patients as directed.
• Escalates non-routine issues to Nurse Manager or providers.
• Ensures safety checklists/quality controls are completed.
• May perform other duties as assigned by Nurse Manager or providers.
