Job summary

Texas Health Resources Heart & Vascular Specialists Clinic in Dallas seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for a full-time day position. You will greet patients, take vitals, draw blood, administer injections, and support cardiology providers in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, CMA certification, onsite externship, and up to 1 year MA experience. Bilingual English/Korean is strongly preferred; ACLS/BCLS training encouraged with 90-day onboarding.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
CMA - Current Medical Assistant Certification required.
New Grads welcome with onsite externship completed.
1 year Medical Assistant experience preferred.
Bilingual English/Korean strongly preferred.
Cardiology experience preferred.
Completion of THPG Clinical Training with competency within 90 days of hire.
BCLS certification required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

Deliver care to patients utilizing CMA process.
Perform general patient care per established standards.
Greet and prepare patients for provider.
Record vitals: BP, temp, pulse, respiration, height, weight, allergies, meds, presenting problem.
Administer medications/vaccines as ordered.
May draw blood samples and prepare specimens for lab analyses.
Schedule diagnostic tests and ensure completion.
Document care plans and test results in the medical record.
Communicate test results and care plans to patients.
Sterilize instruments and maintain exam rooms.
Escalate non-routine issues to manager/providers.
Ensure safety checks and privacy protections.
May work front office and perform other duties as assigned.
