Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED with two years of lab experience or two years of college with science courses; equivalent combination.
• Experience using MS Word, Excel, and data entry.
• Knowledge of cardiology patient populations and ability to perform telephone screenings.
• Experience handling biological samples (blood/urine).
• Ability to perform protocol-required tasks and ship specimens on time.
• Ability to elicit clinically significant information from patients/subjects.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with research subjects, sponsors, and staff.
• Ability to prepare IRB forms.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinical trials coordinators and investigators with communication and scheduling for patient visits.
• Conduct phone screenings of patients and collect data for case report forms.
• Schedule patient visits and complete data entry for studies.
• Maintain inventory of rating scales and screening instruments; manage lab kits and supplies.
• Perform and assist with processing and shipping of laboratory specimens.
