Job summary

BJC HealthCare is seeking a nurse leader for the Heart and Vascular Center in collaboration with Washington University. The role focuses on program management, budget control, and staff development within a high-performing cardiovascular care team.

RN license and BSN are required; a Master's degree is preferred. Prior Heart and Vascular experience is ideal, with responsibilities spanning operations, contract oversight, and education across the patient care continuum.

Qualifications

• Experience working in Heart and Vascular services is ideal
• Master's Degree preferred in Nursing/Business/PH/related

Responsibilities

• Provides effective leadership of the overall management of a clinical program, including day to day office operations, budget and human resource management of nursing and clerical staff.
• May also oversee managed care contracts and informatics.
• Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets.
• Directs operations and integrates services within the work unit and with other departments.
• Collaborates with health care team members to provide patient care; ensures policy compliance and up-to-date procedures.
• Ensures patients and families receive education throughout continuum of care.
• Monitors care to optimize patient outcomes.
• Manages the health care of a specific population of patients.
