Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Invasive CV Technologist to support cardiovascular procedures at St. James Hospital in Montana.

The role involves assisting physicians during angiography, catheterizations, angioplasties, stent procedures, and pacemaker insertions, with emphasis on data collection and patient safety. You will work a full-time 40-hour week with 10-hour shifts and required on-call responsibilities, contributing to a collaborative clinical team while ensuring adherence to safety

Qualifications

• Associate degree (A.A.) from a two-year college or technical school or equivalent experience.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• ACLS certification required within 12 months of hire.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional information and regulations.
• Ability to calculate figures and apply basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions.

Responsibilities

• Locate and maintain patient histories and label charts with iodine allergy information.
• Perform regular cleaning of equipment and accessories.
• Inspect catheters and guide wires for expiration dates; assist with stocking supplies.
• Follow radiation safety guidelines and procedures.
• Assist physicians with catheter insertions, angiography, and other procedures using sterile technique.
• Record data accurately, including measurements like ejection fraction and cardiac output.
