Job summary

OU Medicine's Cardiac Care team is seeking a CTA Cardiovascular for full-time night shifts. Under supervision of a registered nurse you will perform routine patient care tasks and support the care plan.

You will monitor vital signs, assist with admissions, maintain patient safety, perform sterile procedures, collect specimens, apply dressings, and help with transportation. BLS certification and CPCT/PCTC/AUA certification are required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• No experience required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association required.
• Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT) OR Patient Care Technician (PCTC) OR Advanced Unlicensed Assistant (AUA) required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient health status and implement the plan of care under RN supervision.
• Take/record blood pressures, temperatures, pulse and weight.
• Perform blood glucose monitoring and telemetry setup.
• Apply sterile dressings and manage wounds.
• Assist with admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Transports patients to treatment areas as needed.
• Restock rooms with supplies and equipment.
• Provide care as a safety attendant when assigned to one patient.
