Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking support staff for the Electrophysiology (EP) lab at Advocate Christ Medical Center. This part-time position requires 20 hours per week, with responsibilities in the cath lab and EP lab, patient transport, and ensuring safety and proper documentation.

Qualified candidates have a High School diploma, 6 months to 1 year of patient care experience, and CPR certification (to be obtained if not already held). WITT system experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• 6 months to 1 year of patient care experience preferred.
• CPR certification must be obtained within 6 months if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Proper removal and documentation of femoral arterial and venous sheath from patients.
• Transport patients to procedure recovery area and nursing units.
• Maintain adequate levels of supplies.
• Transport equipment for sterilization.
• Timely retrieval of supplies.
• Assist in patient data entry into WITT system pre-procedure.
• Collaborate with Procedure/Recovery area for timely patient disposition.
• Promote patient safety by reporting issues through established channels.
