Job summary

Atrium Health Navicent in Macon, GA seeks a full-time EP lab professional. Under general supervision, you will assist physicians with cardiac and vascular conditions, including arrhythmias, EP devices, ablations, and related procedures.

The role emphasizes patient care in the CV/Cath/EP lab with on-call coverage for holidays and weekends. The position requires an health-science degree, EKG interpretation skills, BLS, and ACLS within 6 months.

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in a health science field.
  • Competency in interpretation of EKG and hemodynamics.
  • Cardiac Cath/EP lab experience preferred.
  • ACLS required within 6 months; BLS required.
  • RCIS/RCES/IBHRE certification within 24 months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac and vascular disease in the EP lab.
  • Support PTCA, stent placement, IABP placement, and EP device procedures.
  • Mentor new staff as experience increases; refine technical skills.

Schedule Details/Additional Information 7a-7p, day shift, varies. Holidays and weekends covered with on call coverage.

Pay Range $35.50 - $53.25

What You Will Do Under general supervision, assists physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular disease and cardiac arrhythmias in the CV/Cath/EP Lab specializing in the care of patients undergoing PTCA, stent placement, IABP placement, and EP devices and ablations. With increased experience provides resource and mentoring to new staff while exhibiting enhanced technical skills.

What You Will Need

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in a health science program (including, but not limited to, cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, or nursing). Must have documented competency in interpretation of EKG and hemodynamics. Cardiac Catheterization or Electrophysiology Lab experience preferred. Allied health professional experience in cardiology preferred.
  • RCIS, RCES, or IBHRE certification within 24 months of hire and remains in active status
  • Basic Life Support Certification required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification required within 6 months of employment.
