Advocate Christ Medical Center in Illinois is seeking a part-time Cath Lab/EP Lab technician. The role requires CPR certification, high school education or equivalent, and 6 months to 1 year of patient care experience.

You will work in the Cath lab and EP lab with 20 hours per week and be eligible for benefits. The position involves handling arterial/venous sheath removals, patient transport, supply maintenance, and collaboration with recovery areas, with on-call requirements and lifting up to

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• 6 months-1 year of patient care experience is preferred.
• Basic computer skills. CPR certification (If incumbent does not have CPR certification, he/she must obtain it within 6 months of employment).

Responsabilités

• Proper removal and documentation of femoral arterial and venous sheath from patients.
• Transportation of patients to procedure recovery area and nursing units.
• Maintenance of adequate levels of supplies.
• Transport of equipment for sterilization.
• Timely retrieval of supplies.
• Maintenance of patient film/CD library.
• Assist in patient data entry into WITT system pre-procedure.
• Work in close collaboration with Procedure/Recovery area for assistance in timely patient disposition.
• Promotes patient safety by reporting of issues through established channels and participating as requested in safety initiatives.
