Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join our Cardiothoracic Surgery team at Henry Ford Macomb. The role focuses on perioperative management of cardiac and thoracic surgery patients, including pre-, intra-, and post-operative care, and surgical first assist responsibilities.

The position offers the opportunity to work alongside a collaborative, highly specialized surgical team in a fast-paced operating room environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of cardiothoracic operating room experience as an APP.
• PA degree from an ARC-PA accredited program.
• Current Michigan licensure or in-process licensure.
• National NCCPA certification is required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (ACLS may be obtained after hire).

Responsibilities

• Oversee perioperative management of cardiac and thoracic surgery patients.
• Provide pre-, intra-, and post-operative patient care and evaluations.
• Serve as surgical first assistant and participate in patient rounding and postoperative planning.
• Support weekend coverage and on-call duties.
