Henry Ford Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its Cardiothoracic Surgery team. You will provide specialized postoperative care, collaborate with surgeons and intensivists, and support patients with complex cardiovascular conditions.

Inpatient duties (75%) include evaluations and procedures as permitted by your training; outpatient duties (25%) involve follow-up visits and clinic consultations. On-call weekends rotate every third week.

Qualifications

• Master's degree requirement for NP or PA program.
• Current Michigan licensure as NP/PA or proof of application on file.
• National certification: ANCC/AANP for NP or NCCPA for PA.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Cardiothoracic Surgical First Assist certification.
• DEA registration and Michigan Controlled Substance License (PA) or DEA (NP).

Responsabilités

• Inpatient evaluations and procedures in the 75% of time.
• Outpatient follow-ups and clinic consultations (25%).
• Manage medications and therapeutic interventions; educate patients and families.
• Maintain detailed medical documentation and participate in quality improvement.
• Stay current with evidence-based practices in cardiothoracic surgery and critical care.
• Participate in on-call rotation with weekend coverage every third week.
