Job summary

Aultman Health System is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for Cardiothoracic Surgery in Canton, OH. This role entails collaborating with CT surgeons and intensivists to manage admissions, discharges and patient care throughout the hospital stay.

Responsibilities include performing diagnostic procedures as authorized, responding to rapid responses, and providing patient/family education, discharge planning, and staff mentorship. Licensure in Ohio and BLS/ACLS are required.

Qualifications

• Ohio Advanced Practice Provider licensure required.
• Minimum 3 years in Acute Care/Cardiothoracic ICU setting preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Admit, discharge, and care for CT surgery patients with surgeons and intensivists.
• Perform invasive and therapeutic diagnostic procedures as approved by CT Surgeon/Intensivist.
• Respond to Rapid Response and Code Blue calls and coordinate interventions.
• Provide patient/family education and discharge planning.
• Serve as clinical resource and preceptor for staff and other providers.
• Complete medical records per Medical Staff bylaws.
