Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies required.
• Current PA license (PA-C) or board eligible.
• Additional certifications: NCCPA recertification, ACLS/CPR/BLS.
• DEA licensure within 60 days of hire.
• Act 33/34/73 background clearances required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate diagnostic and emergency care for Cardio Thoracic Surgery patients in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Order and interpret labs and cardiac imaging to inform patient management.
• Stabilize acute patient situations and communicate with supervising physician.
• Prepare and prescribe medications, perform minor procedures related to cardio thoracic care.
• Coordinate complex care needs with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team.
