Job summary

Aultman Health Foundation is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider in Cardiothoracic Surgery. The APR will work with CT surgeons and intensivists to admit, discharge, and care for patients, provide consultations, and participate in interdisciplinary rounds.

The role requires current Ohio licensure as an APR, with a minimum of 3 years in acute care/CT ICU preferred, and BLS/ACLS certifications. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Acute Care NP program completion and certification.
• PA program completion and boards passed.

Responsibilities

• Maintains CT Surgery Service standards and collaborates with physicians.
• Collaborates with surgeons to admit, discharge, and care for patients; provides consultations.
• Analyzes patient problems with CT Surgeon; plans therapies and interventions.
• Performs invasive/therapeutic procedures; documents results in the medical record.
• Responds to Rapid Response/Code Blue; relays findings and orders necessary tests/medications.
• Presents patient assessments and plans during rounds; ensures patient safety.
• Assists in discharge planning and provides patient/family education and support.
• Acts as clinical resource and preceptor for staff and other professionals.
• Participates in clinical research and maintains professional conduct.
