Job summary
Sutter West Bay Medical Group in San Francisco is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our expanding Cardiothoracic Surgery program. The surgeon will work with a collaborative cardiovascular team to deliver advanced surgical care in a patient-centered environment.
The ideal candidate will have an MD/DO, CT surgery residency/fellowship, Board certification or eligibility, CA licensure eligibility, and DEA registration, with Epic EMR experience and a commitment
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an accredited Cardiothoracic Surgery residency/fellowship, or current enrollment in a CT surgery fellowship with anticipated completion prior to start date.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Thoracic Surgery; CA license eligibility; current DEA registration.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive cardiothoracic surgical care in inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Perform a broad range of cardiac and thoracic procedures, elective and urgent.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, interventionalists, electrophysiologists, pulmonologists, oncologists, and intensivists.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and quality initiatives.
- Preoperative consultation, perioperative management, and postoperative follow-up.
